Diversified Insurance Service was formed in 2003 by Douglas Fox and Mark T. Reilly.  Fox and Reilly owned Krauss Starr Fox Insurance and Blair Associates Insurance respectively.  They formed the LLC as an initial merger of operations.  The opportunities behind this new venture streamlined operations and consolidated the workforce and markets.  Diversified Insurance Service now has five owners: Doug, Mark, Julie Stahl, Jeanie Giesler and Susie Hubbell. 

Krauss Starr Fox was founded in Toledo in 1950.  The agency was purchased by Doug Fox in 2000.  He was previously employed by the agency as a producer.  In 2008, Krauss Starr Fox was purchased by Diversified Insurance Service and moved the location to Whitehouse.

Blair Associates is located in Elmore and was originally founded in 1948.  Mark Reilly purchased the agency from Blair Miller in 1988.  The office in Elmore is currently the main office of operations for Diversified Insurance Service.

Tadsen-Diversified Insurance Service is located in Port Clinton.   The agency was purchased in 2003 by Doug Fox, Mark Reilly and Julie Stahl.  This agency was originally founded in 1868.  In 2004, the group acquired the David's insurance Agency in Port Clinton and merged it into the Tadsen location.

Pearce Insurance Agency was located in Fremont and was originally founded in 1899.  In 2005 the agency was purchased by Diversiified.

The Mark Schmiedebusch Agency is in Ottawa and was orginally founded in 1978.  In 2007 Diversified Insurance Service purchased the agency with the Ohio Farmers Union.  The Ohio Farmers Union is an association serving family farmers in Ohio.  The agency is now known as the Ohio Farmers Union Diversified Insurance Service, LLC. 

Helm Insurance Agency was located in Luckey and was predominantly a personal lines agency.  It was purchased in 2007 by Diversified and all operations were moved to the Elmore branch.

Insurance Agencies of the Maumee Valley is located in Whitehouse and was originally founded in 1980 by Robert Keogh. Diversified purchased the agency in 2008 and the Toledo branch was merged into the current office.

The Wolf Insurance Agency is located in Fremont and was originally founded in 1868.  In 2009, Diversified Insurance Service purchased the agency from Amy Meyer who owned the family business.  The operations from the Pearce office were moved into the current location shortly after the acquisition was made.
